MNIVA MEMBERSHIP

Are you a MN-based independent venue, promoter, or festival interested in joining MNIVA?

Why Join MNIVA?

Your membership allows your business (including yourself and members of your team) to participate in MNIVA-sponsored operations and activities including, but not limited to: the MNIVA Annual Meeting and Board Elections; sub-committee work; special projects; industry networking; access to grant opportunities; conversations on industry-specific resources and re-opening guidelines; professional growth opportunities; group discounts, special rates, and access to various webinars, conferences, and other events as available.

What are the steps to join?

1) First apply to become a member of our parent organization, National Independent Venue Association. Joining NIVA is the best way to stay in the loop about the upcoming Shuttered Venue Operators (fka Save Our Stages) grant. Eligibility requirements and registration can be found here: www.nivassoc.org/join

2) Once you're an approved member of NIVA, your Minnesota-based business should also meet the requirements for MNIVA membership. Joining the local chapter is a great way to connect with the live entertainment community across the state of Minnesota, and have a voice in legislation and policy that affects your business.

MNIVA Membership Policy

  1. MNIVA requires that members are also registered with NIVA.
  2. MNIVA members can designate any staff member to represent them, and if they choose, that member can run for elected officer or executive board member at the Annual Meeting.
  3. Businesses/Organizations with multiple venues or entities will only need/be allowed one membership.
  4. Only one person (the Primary Contact) should register the Business for Membership.
